【摘要】:Thetapeliftprovidesarapidandsimpletechniqueforremovingparticlesfromasurfaceanddeterminingtheirnumberandsizedistribution.Byusingstatisticallydeterminedsamplesizeandlocations,anestimateofthesurfacecleanlinessleveloflargeareascanbemade.Theusershalldefinethesamplingplan.Thesamplingplanshallconsidertheimportanceofsurfacegeometryandsurfaceorientationtogasflow,gravity,obstructions,andprevioushistoryofhardware.Thesefactorsinfluenceparticlefalloutandentrapmentofparticlesonthesurface.Thegeometryofjoints,recessedareas,fasteners,andthecorrespondenceofparticle-countdatatoareacanbemaintained.Theselectionoftapeandtheverificationofitseffectonthecleanlinessofthehardwareisveryimportant.Thetapeadhesiveshouldhavesufficientcohesiontoavoidtransferoftheadhesivetothesurfaceundertest.Theimpactofadhesivetransfershouldbeevaluatedbylaboratorytestingbeforeusingthetapeonthehardware.Sincepotentialforadhesivetransferexists,cleaningtoremoveanyadhesivemightberequired.Inaddition,thetapeshouldhavelowoutgassingcharacteristics,andasaminimum,itshouldmeettherequirementsoflessthan1.0%totalmassloss(TML)and0.1%collectedvolatilecondensablematerials(CVCM),asmeasuredbyTestMethodE595.Careshouldbeexercisedindecidingwhichsurfacesshouldbetestedbythispractice.Thetapecanremovemarginallyadheringpaintandcoatings.Opticalsurfacesshouldnotbetesteduntilverificationhasbeenmadethatthesurfacecoatingwillnotbedamaged.Roughsurfacefinishesresultinlowremovalefficiencies.Surfacefinishesuptoapproximately3.20x03BC;m(125x03BC;in.)havebeentestedandfoundtogivesatisfactoryresults.Thispracticehasbeentestedonlyonsurfacesatroomtemperature.Evaluationoftemperatureeffectsmustbeconductedpriortousingthetestonsurfacesotherthanroomtemperature.Onlypersonnelexperiencedinmicroscopicparticle-countingtechniquesshouldbeusedtocountandsizetheparticles.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresforsamplingsurfacestodeterminethepresenceofparticulatecontamination,5mandlarger.Thepracticeconsistsoftheapplicationofapressure-sensitivetapetothesurfacefollowedbytheremovalofparticulatecontaminationwiththeremovalofthetape.Thetapewiththeadheringparticlesisthenmountedoncountingslides.Countingandmeasuringofparticlesisdonebystandardtechniques.1.2Thispracticedescribesthematerialsandequipmentrequiredtoperformsamplingofsurfacesforparticlecountingandsizing.1.3Thecriteriaforacceptanceorrejectionofapartforconformancetosurfacecleanlinesslevelrequirementsshallbedeterminedbytheuserandarenotincludedinthispractice.1.4Thispracticeisforuseonsurfacesthatarenotdamagedbytheapplicationofadhesivetape.Theuseofthispracticeonanysurfaceofanymaterialnotpreviouslytestedorforwhichthesusceptibilitytodamageisunknownisnotrecommended.Ingeneral,metals,metalplating,andoxidecoatingswillnotbedamaged.Applicationtopainted,vapordeposited,andopticalcoatingsshouldbeevaluatedbeforeimplementingthistest.1.5Thispracticeprovidesthreemethodstoevaluatetapelifttests,asfollows:SectionsPracticeA-Thismethoduseslighttransmittedthroughthetapeandtapeadhesivetodetectparticlesthatadheretoit.4to6PracticeB-Thismethoduseslighttransmittedthroughthetapeadhesiveafterbondingtoabasemicr......
