【摘要】:Thistestmethodisnotrecommendedforacceptancetestingbecausetheinformationobtainedisqualitativeratherthanquantitativeinnature(seeSection12).Theresponseoffiberstothedyemixtureisindicativeoftheuniformityofdyeing,theprobabilityofdyeingdefectsduetoneps,andthedifficultiestobeexpectedfromheterogeneityoffibersthatdifferindyeingcharacteristics.Ingeneral,thereddyeisretainedpredominantlybythethick-walledfibersandthegreenbythethin-walledfibers.Thecolorresponseofthespecimenstothedyesinthebinarymixturereflectsthebehaviortobeexpectedwithmanyotherdyes.Thecolorsfromredtogreenmaybeinfluencedbyfactorssuchasweatherduringthegrowingperiod,exposureofopenbollsinthefieldbeforeharvest,naturalcolor,fineness,anddegreeofwalldevelopment.1.1Thistestmethodcoversatestforthecharacterizationofcertaindyeingbehaviorofcotton.Thistestmethodisespeciallyapplicabletorawcottonfibers,butmayalsobeadaptedtocottonyarnsandfabrics.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
