【摘要】:ThispartofISO/IEC14496specifiesthecodedrepresentationofpictureinformationintheformofnaturalorsyntheticvisualobjectslikevideosequencesofrectangularorarbitrarilyshapedpictures,moving2Dmeshes,animated3Dfaceandbodymodelsandtextureforsyntheticobjects.Thecodedrepresentationallowsforcontentbasedaccessfordigitalstoragemedia,digitalvideocommunicationandotherapplications.ISO/IEC14496specifiesalsothedecodingprocessoftheaforementionedcodedrepresentation.Therepresentationsupportsconstantbitratetransmission,variablebitratetransmission,robusttransmission,contentbasedrandomaccess(includingnormalrandomaccess),objectbasedscalabledecoding(includingnormalscalabledecoding),objectbasedbitstreamediting,aswellasspecialfunctionssuchasfastforwardplayback,fastreverseplayback,slowmotion,pauseandstillpictures.Syntheticobjectsandcodingofspecial2D/3Dmeshes,texture,andanimationparametersareprovidedforusewithdownloadablemodelstoexploitmixedmediaandthebandwidthimprovementassociatedwithremotemanipulationofsuchmodels.ISO/IEC14496isintendedtoallowsomelevelofinteroperabilitywithISO/IEC11172-2:1993,ISO/IEC13818-2:1996andITU-TRecommendationH.263.
