【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesrecommendationsandguidanceontheprinciplestobeappliedtoachieveasatisfactoryjuxtapositionoftrees,includingshrubs,hedgesandhedgerows,withstructures.Itfollows,insequence,thestagesofplanningandimplementingtheprovisionswhichareessentialtoallowdevelopmenttobeintegratedwithtrees.Thisstandardrecognizesthattherecanbeproblemsofdevelopmentclosetoexistingtreeswhicharetoberetained,andofplantingtreesclosetoexistingstructures.Thisstandardsetsouttoassistthoseconcernedwithtreesinrelationtoconstructiontoformbalancedjudgements.Itdoesnotsetouttoputargumentsfororagainstdevelopment,orfortheremovalorretentionoftrees.Wheredevelopment,includingdemolition,istooccur,thestandardprovidesguidanceonhowtodecidewhichtreesareappropriateforretention,onthemeansofprotectingthesetreesduringdevelopment,includingdemolitionandconstructionwork,andonthemeansofincorporatingtreesintothedevelopedlandscape.NOTEAlistoforganizationsfromwhomadditionaladvicecanbeobtainedisgiveninAnnexB.TheBibliographycontainsdetailsofpublicationsreferredtothroughoutthisdocument.Otherrelevantpubliclyavailabledocumentsarealsolisted.
